CougarFest 2011 details/attendance list

Having commented on this myself I can sympathise with this and many other posts of the same kind but when I read that somebody puts that it's "not their cup of tea" then I wonder if I really want to waste my breath on them if they did make it to a show. These people are willing to get all manner of help and advice from here but don't wish to meet the members who have helped them, the quote was recent but there have been many members over the years with the same outlook.
The frustrating thing is that we are wasting our breath on some members, if we get too hyped up, it is read as aggression, some say they are shy and don't like meeting people, the internet is a great tool if used sparingly but surely we should wish to meet real people rather than stare at the screen and type away, as much fun as it can be, it's not the same as a face to face, once you've met up, then you understand people a little better.

Spot on Richard.

Just paid Grendon so, all systems go. BTW it's cheaper to pre pay, than paying on the day.

I think i better ring them again on Monday. They told me to pay on the day

Might be an idea Al, don't know how much it is on the day, but no point paying more than you need to.

I remembered to ring Grendon today. I payed by card £20 for the two nights, to pay on arrival it's £2 extra per night, so i just made myself an extra 25 miles :)
Thanks for the headsup Steve (y)

I will pop over sometime over cougarfest weekend just for an hour or so to catch up with you good people.
Will be great to see all the cougar hardcore crew again.
Kev S.D.M

I will be up for a while on Saturday - not sure what time yet as will be fitting round my athletics meets - "Dont Panic" no wishbones this time :eek:

Cheers for that Alan :) I did point out that a lot of people have to wait till pay day (end of this month) before they can pay-up (they have said so themselves) that would account for it being such a low turn out at this time, I've had the same problem this year (as last) with a long list of attendees on the Ford Fair thread, but only a fraction of the numbers when the payment was due (or for other comitments) it happens, people do have other lives outside the forum and they forget or something else comes up and they just cant do. Maybe they should factor all this into the equasion before they put their names down on a list....

Anyway cheer up you old buggers its nearly Christmas :) http://youtu.be/WlBiLNN1NhQ

did someone mention CHRISTMAS

Last minuite this one but it looks like I will be attending fest.:) Not sure when but i will be coming. I'll have to pay Grendon on arrival!. Just a couple of things camping is way out of my comfort zone:giggle: and please do not ask me to fix your car I will give any advice I can but I'm not at work.(y) Apart from that bring it on.:beer:

Nice one Mark, think yo've done your fair share of work on the cars, so you deserve a weekend at cougarfest without your tool kit.(y)

Under the circumstances you mentioned on your 'End of the Mafia' thread I'm not sure I should be saying 'nice one' but its probably the best place to kick back, have a few beers and take your mind off it all for a while. And it bolsters the northern contingent too! (y)
