Cougarfest 2017

Any more thoughts on this years Fest on how members would like it to proceed.

All things considered - and notwithstanding my eternal respect for Dick's commitment - Wil's location is great because we get exclusive access, it's reasonably accessible for most people, local facilities (shops and the like) are great, on-site facilities are awesome, and the scenery is breathtaking with opportunities for some classic runs.

Plus Wil is an interesting guy who I have a lot of admiration for.

So that's my "vote", as it were.

As long as I don't have anything else planned for whenever it is (my son races model cars for a hobby, and we have a busy summer schedule) then I'll be there. Simple!

Burgie, could you please start a new thread in Off-Topic telling us what your son races?

I think I will be on my own for 99% of all meets now as Tina is more interested in her mates now. But this is a fest thread so I'm game where ever if I have wheels. Same as what Chris (aka Mako) said Wils place gets my vote 😊

Wil`s local has got a lot going for it, including the man himself, smack in the middle of England, sorry about that Dick with all the things you want, even a marquee to do repair work in rain or shine, yes its very close to me and that is good but having said that i would not do a weekend miles away as i am far to old and infirm to be sleeping in a tent but i would make the effort to attend for the day if i have the time off to do so even if it was a distance away, not sure what other venues are like for camping but Wil`s seemed to be well liked by those that did the last one, can understand those wanting either a change or something more close to them to.

As some of you know I am fighting a very expensive legal battle which is nearing its 1st anniversary and doesn't seem to have an ending anywhere in sight, so unless things change dramatically in the very near future then i will not be attending any shows or events or even MFSMs this year as - to be honest i just cant afford it.
So even if i am off for Fest it looks like i will miss it again :cautious:

Sorry i forgot about Combe, which i will be attending as i have already put money aside for what i think is my favourite show :)

Dan, this thread:

https://forums.ukcougar.club/threads/29312-CougarFest-2016-Attendance-Thread

gives the address of Wil's place and how the costings worked out last year.
I would imagine it would be similar this year if Phil uses the same format.
Kids are more than welcome as several members, myself included, can attest to. (y)

If everyone is in agreement with Wils place I will find out dates available and an idea of cost.
