Cougarfest 2023

It's a shame that not many members are turning up to this event ! Even a day visit would be nice to see a few faces!
A bit more support for the club would be appreciated, otherwise what's the point ?
 
Mick I'd certainly like us to have the numbers we used to. It's not even a Cougar event really this one, as ever with the club it's more about the people. I know a lot of us have a lot going on this year but I would certainly have come up if I didn't have a big show on the Sunday. Maybe next year we'll adjust the dates and see if that makes any odds.

Gutted, but I'm gonna have to pull out of this.
I now have to go to Netherlands next week for work and won't be back until late Friday, I could possibly come up saturday morning but don't think I'll be up for the 8 to 9 hour round trip for 1 night.

Seeings Jon is pulling out, I think I'll do the same. 3 people turning up for the annual camping get together is a little embarrassing
and disappointing! Maybe this club is turning into just another online fix and parts group!
I just feel for Phil who's tried to organise this so called event!

Ok thanks for the feedback, what's everyone else's thoughts on it, Dick has booked a caravan so I assume he will still be attending.
 
To be honest, I do not really see any point in me travelling 400 miles to be at a meet with only 2 people attending. I will contact Steve and cancel the caravan. It is a pity that a club with the membership that we have can only manage to have a couple of members attending such an event that used to attract lots of people in by gone years.

Phil, thank you so much again for being a stand-up guy with your dedication and organisational efforts. Absolutely not your fault.

Life seems to be getting in everyone's way at the moment, but I sincerely hope that Mick isn't right with his assessment of what we are as a club now. We were yet another indirect Covid casualty, weren't we. Tomcat forum is the same.

I wasnt able to attend Cougarfest in any of my 4x ownerships. I always loved the idea of it though and I do think these groups are an invaluable resource. My dad has a Capri and the Leeds club he's a member of have seen a similar decline in attendance of their meets. They've tried hosting as a classic Ford group but they only gained a Cougar owner (me :)).
