dash lights pulsing

any one had this when i start car and put side lights on the dash light that tells you time and temp outside seem to be pulsing or flickering had a new alternator and a battery but my other cougar does not do this both cars are v6 any ideas
 
where can i find details of how to modify alt wiring i have a couple of spares cars so no shortage of bits if i need any

Check the wires going to your alternator, the power cable that is held on with a 10mm nut if not tightened completely will cause this, did you have a new alternator or a refurbed unit? The how to guide will show you how to overload the alternators signal control cable and take it from 3v upto 12v, if you had a new alternator with warranty DO NOT DO THIS MODDIFICATION get the unit swapped instead (y)
