day trip to mij

I just left my original ford one on and i dont get any problems :p:p:p

Well thats fine until it rusts and falls apart
Yeah the Ford exhaust has proven to be very good as far as longevity is concerned. Our C1 will celebrate its 13th birthday next week still with the factory exhaust fitted. It's got some spots of surface rust but otherwise it's very solid.

I've got an MIJ sports cat fitted on the group buy day - so far, no probs.

Thanks all for your helpful remarks, I wish Id mentioned my MIJ intentions before Id had it fitted lol. Never mind, its rectified now and sounds sweet as a nut once more, £40 lighter though!!!!

They made me pay mate, they had to cut out another bit of downpipe which they ballsed up in the first place and i was charged for 2 new flanges, new gasket and the new bit of pipe ffs, had to be done though Rich :(

so did i mate, they wanted more money but i reminded them that the damage was due to their work 2 years ago so we came 'to an arrangement', like i say i was 70 miles away from home so desperate to get it sorted out. I may sell the cougar soon if it doesnt go through MOT in April so gotta fix her up nice

Ah, one of those 'It's covered if you keep the car locked in a museum under armed guard and never actually drive it' warranties, eh? We've had first hand experience of that with our Fiesta and the bunch of lies sold to us by CarCraft. :cautious:

I had my sports cats replaced under warranty by MIJ and the first trip down they paid my petrol money.

After the second visit they sent me 5 or 6 exhaust rubbers - having not replaced them like the said they were going to.

I was one of the first to have an MIJ exhaust and haven't had any issues with it. Maybe they've resorted to using inferior materials to try to stay at lower prices.
