Decals

Hi, Having seen that white Cougar mentioned in the spotted topic I was just wondering whats the general thought on Decals and Vinyls?

I mean, i'm my own person and have my own views, what do you guys think of them? ANy of your motors have any cool vinyls?

The white one I mentioned had a black Cougar logo on it's back rear quarters. Looked cool.

Some cars look good with them i.e Subaru Impreza's and others don't (I.e a Black Ford Ka in my college- It has like a shark grin like them old WW2 planes had on it's bumper)

You guys got any?

That's some awesome art but not sure if it's up my street. I seem to like Logo's. It's just a shame the Ford logo sucks ass via a straw. I've seen a Pug 206 with the 'griffin' thing on it's doors, and the Cougar logo caught my eye.

I couldn't follow that link, as I haven't subscribed yet, as it's completely 50-50 between a Cougar an Ibiza Cupra, same insurance group.

Cougars pulling ahead though as lots of Ibiza fans haven't got a lot of passion for the MK2 which is my favourite shape, also I've never had a Saloon/Coupe Car (If you can count a Cordoba as a saloon, then i lied)

Personally i think they're **** on a Cougar, to me its just not the kinda car that needs a crappy graphic down the side or a massive cougar head plastered all over it.

Just my 2p :D

Agree totally, but each to their own, it's what makes us, & the cars, different (y)

I don't like anything fussy on a car, graphics aren't my thing. Each to their own though.

If I am being honest, without worrying about other peoples feelings, I think they look utter c r a p, tasteless and chavvy.

You saying i'm a chav? lol wheres me handbag i'll have im lol

Your average 'chavved up' motor has graphics, the sicker they look, the more 'kudos' for the chav. That escort looks vile, only a person on the brink of a breakdown, or one suffering with cataracts could've chosen them.

I am generally into the 'less is more' look.

I have seen some great airbrush work on lorry's but you do have something bigger to go at. On a cougar I would say no to graphics its a classic design.

I agree with most of whats gone before, The cougar lines are classic and don't need graphics, I think this is the reason i've stuck to the rear window logo, and the very subtle "COUGAR" on the rear of the roush side skirt, but as said before, if we all thought the same, we would all be boring old farts, so variation is a good thing. Taste is always down to personal opinion.

The Escort looks all of that, I think certain cars look good with graphics, but not the cougar, tried cougarheads coming out of the rear arches and it looked c r a p, only time I would graphic mine now would be if I took it back to Le Mans, then take them off again after the event.

I'd never twist my tastes to suit either, I'd like my Cougar sprayed meta Brown in tribute to Ibiza Cupras (My childhood sweetheart :D).

Decals can look smart but in general they can look tacky.
