Do I need remote fob ?

This may seem a silly question but....As I won't be useing my central locking with the fob anymore,will i still need a key with the remote buttons or can I just get a nomal key cut ?

That depends on why you're not using the central locking with a fob? If you don't use the fob you'll need a key to unlock the car??

Your spare key will I assume be a buttonless one so I guess you have your answer!

You could but you'll have to stick your imoboliser chip from the fob into the new key.

Right read that! I recommend checking earths in the footwells and under the hood. As for a standard key if you already have one that'll be fine. If you only have one key in total for the car you will need to very carefully transfer the transponder to the new key. Alternatively just use the remote key and not use the buttons. Sounds to me like you may have a dodgy earth or loose connection. Maybe strip the doors out and renew/service the solenoids and double check all the connections.
