Just had my mot these are my emission results I know it's a pass but can anyone tell me anything good or bad about the results

Will look into it, some might say a pass is a pass but if it is high they must be a reason and if I find that reason I will have a pass next year to

Running rich and a dodgy cat converter are possible causes.

Blocked air filter is a classic cause of high CO too.

Correct fuelling but just enough air to burn it. In that situation you'll end up with a reasonable HC figure as well, just like he has here.

Air filter is fairly new it's a open cone type , I have a oil catcher tank could that prove to be a problem ?

Can't say for the oil catch tank (where is it catching if from...?) but an open cone without a proper cold-air feed will cause high CO readings. It's sucking in hot air from the engine bay.

The oil catcher is inline with the pipe from the rocker cover to the air induction pipe

I actually don't know what those are called on the V6 or the Zetec, (other than a "breather") but on the K-Series that's the PCV. It's a way of venting gasses out of the engine so it doesn't explode. It's also an emission-control thing that throws crank-case fumes into the inlet. You can't block them, but you can filter them to air instead of the inlet.

thank you for the cold Air feed info will sort that (y)

After a lot of experiments and practical tests, (including emission monitoring) I think that an open cone must be boxed off from the rest of the engine bay. The cold air feed must be ram-air from the most central part of the car's air dam and the pipe to it has to have the least number of bends.

Most obvious answer is a "cold cat." No prizes for being a cool cat at MOT time.

That's only a BET anyway by the looks of things, I'd worry no more about it.

Penny-to-pinch-of-**** that sheet says something akin to "Engine temperature check bypassed - Cooling fan operating" or some such!

The mot was before 8.00am I had left the car at the garage the night before so maybe a cold cat might be the reason for the high co2 reading it still a pass I just didn't want it to get any worse and course a problem next year

Cold cats don't help but it's hard to heat up Cougar main cats without driving due to the excessive distance from the cylinder heads. A cone filter really doesn't help anything though. They make the car worse in every way except louder.
