engine bay steam clean

just roll yer sleeves up and get in there!

I use a selection of brushes - alloy wheel brushes etc and Gunk is my degreaser of choice and a strong shampoo solution to finish off

elbow grease is your friend here :)

If you insist on using a pressure washer do it from a distance and turn it down as low as it will go, seal the electrics with cling film/plastic bags and elastic bands etc to stop any water getting in

I Used a pressure washer to clean the left hand side of engine (where aux belt is etc) and it worked a treat :) Sprayed 'gunk' and engine degreaser etc all over as had oil leak that got onto belt and got flicked everywhere. Left it for 30 mins then pressure washed the lot. Just make sure you cover up any electrical points, wires, delicate plastics etc.
