As a rules yes but there are some differences in the internals for example Uncle Als had mahle pistol rings as standard but other engines didn't.
 
With the ubiquity of the Zetec lump I guess it's inevitable that they get switched around, I recall Truffle's car had had a blacktop from a Focus fitted at some point in it's life.
 
Thanks, I only ask because I have a chance on buying/saving a Zetec 2.0l from a C2 if the price is right, but probably wouldn't bother if it's really just a 'bog standard' engine that was fitted to other Fords.
 
I do know the blacktop is exactly the same as fitted to the 2 litre Mundane. They love a set of Yam R6's and an EDIS6 ECU for sparks. In fairness, they're pretty mad on a Webber 40, but they're mental on R6's - especially under the bonnet of a Mk2 XR2, where torque steer in 5th will try and put you into the nearest ditch in a 100 mile radius.
