Environmental Licence for changing a fuel pump?

what make is it al? a goblin by chance?.....................................................................................

I flog new cars on contract hire for a living but run a 12 year old ex Ford Management Cougar meself. Why?

New cars are nothing like as reliable as old cars.
Striving to meet this that and the next regulation renders them fragile.
I enjoy fiddling about with old cars
There is nothing like the buzz you get when you get the old girl fixed (yes I'm still talking about cars)

New cars are ok for the rich, non technically minded. The rest of us should be left to enjoy our old (er) cars.

If we take this to the extreme then we would not be able to wash our own cars....what? "contaminants" like soapy water?, running on to your garden in to surface water drains........totally preposterous... (snip) The lunatics are running the asylum...!

You can't wash your car here if it's on the street. Passers-by will tell you off. First time it happened I was a bit "F*** Off, you irritating German Jobsworth!", but apparently the fines are ridiculously severe, so I no longer do it.

However, I can wash my car if it's on the drive (even though the same soapy-water ends up going down the same rain-water drains as it would have if the car was on the street). So that's what I do.
