This is about my family two daughters, three sons and a wife that i adore, this year we have been married for 37 years - so we know each other very well---no secrets or so i thought .
5 and a half years ago i bought the cougar and love the car to bits but the family would always say "you need to update" or "go and treat yourself" so I would call in garages and have a look around but never actually buy anything because I was happy with the cat.
Sorry I did buy - I got the daughter a car, then got the wife a car and then the wife had another one and finally helped the son get a car. I saw a few that I liked but made excuses for not buying , mainly because I was happy with the cougar.
Last week I made the decision to have the cougar resprayed, but never got round to doing anything about it because of work and Blackpool was fast approaching, so on saturday evening got the car washed and waxed after work finishing about 9ish and had an early night but as you all know I could not make it because somehow I had damaged the tendons in my ankle and was bitterly disappointed.
I spent most of the week hobbling about the house proper fed up . That was until yesterday when a man knocked on the door- the wife rushed to answer it whilst my son kept me talking in the kitchen, eventually she came back in but banned me from going out till the family turned up.
About 10mins later everyone had turned up with big grins on their faces , they then said they had bought me a present to cheer me up and it was something that they knew i liked but would never buy it for myself.
The wife had been saving for 3 years and the kids had chipped in to make up the difference, they gave me a box -which i opened and inside was a key.
The key fitted a car i was admiring a couple of weeks earlier and the wife had decided that this was the time to make it happen.
My family are awesome
