Hi!!

I've had 'JonT' (as christened by my girlfriend lol) for two years last week, so i thought i'd give him a good clean, got some of meguiars deep crystal 3 step system on and thought i'd put some pictures up soon (since i don't think i've ever got round to posting any pics!)

Anyway, two years later, here's one! Most work i've done on him have been maintenance/repairs; being a student, i've modified on a budget.
A few of the mods you can see are the 17" wheels, in the same anthracite as the mirror caps (Anyone guess what car theyre off?
). PI -35mm lowering springs, you might also be able to see the small boot lip.. oh and the badge overlay from Alan. :)

So that pic was taken last week..
A couple of days ago though, i drove to the Recycling Centre to get rid of a few old tv's and brake discs, i left the car for not even three minutes and came back to find the front in pieces. The bumper was on the floor, hanging only by the nearside wing, and the offside wing is all scraped up. Just felt sick. The flat bed pickup I had parked next to had scraped it on the way out, didn't even stop. The nice man who helped me tape it up afterwards only got the first 3 characters of the plate, they dont even have cctv there and with my bumper on the floor, i was just stuck there.... B******. :cautious:

Anyway after getting the bumper off the floor, i set off back home but then heard started to hear something dragging - thought the tape had come off. So i stopped at my uncles house, which luckily was only a minute away and found this...

Whilst i was having another panic attack  he removed the undertray and got it all taped up properly... but I do need a replacement ebony wing and bumper as soon as possible (dont want to go through insurance as my excess is, well.. excessive)
And this is how poorly hes looking now, so
if anyone does have a wing and bumper available i'd reeally appreciate a pm and hopefully i'll be able to get it sorted soon and put more pics up

Thanks!
Jeff

Gutted for you mate, you have done a good job on your car, I like the wheels, if no one on here has the parts in the right colour there was an ebony one breaking on ebay.

Tidy looking motor Jeff, for a ebony :). I don't recognise the wheels at all but i'll have a guess at a VW? I hope you can find the truck driver and threaten him with an insurance claim. it usually gets them to pay up. Have you checked the breakers section for the parts?

My guess......Peugeot......307?? ;)

What a bloody mess they made, hope you catch up with them that's totally out of order :cautious:

That's a real pity Jeff. Hope you catch-up with them soon. I've got a spare under tray if you need it, it's had a bit trimmed off the front but the fixing points are intact.

Not much consolation perhaps but that looks like a pretty glancing blow, there's every chance the truck driver had no idea what he'd done.

Hope you get it sorted looks like a tidy car.

Only if he's spectacularly cretinous, has zero sense of spatial awareness, and was letting his labrador guide him out of the space. Which to be fair the evidence would suggest is the case.

Yesss!
Yeah got a set of 5 off a 206 gti 180, but yeah they also come on 307 xsi's :geek:

The police know about it but there's barely any evidence apart from what this one guy witnessed, so its not good

Thanks Andy, i'll keep that in mind.

Yeah i questioned whether the driver noticed and the man said that it really jolted the whole pickup, it settled and then he sped off, so he must have known he hit something :cautious:
