Finally a pic of mine! but then..

If you want any of these things Jeff I can transport them back from Combe if you can't come yourself, I have to go through Gloucester to get home:)

Nice looking Coog Jeff, sorry to hear about your hit and run, that sucks, some ****** did frosty while it was parked out side my house late last year, on the only day i'd taken the bike to work, luckily most of it came out all but a slight odd shape to the panel.

Hope you find the barsteward that did yours, and those Pug wheel really suit the car (y)

Cheers mate.
Yeah some people just dont care these days :/
Hmmm, yeah i'm still not 100% sure on the wheels myself - i do think they look a bit plain sometimes, but they sit wider than the standard ones so theyll do for now :)

i have a black wing if you still looking for one. car is coming of the road next thursday as mot is out then and it is being used for spares.
pm me if you interested.

2014, Some pictures

I don't get a chance to come on here much but thought i'd post some pics from 2014

Had my cougar off the road for a good few months after the hit & run, whilst i sourced a new wing&bumper and I had bought a £400 mazda 1998 mx5 1.6 with 172k miles which just needed a new clutch to use for the mean time, fun car.

Managed to get my cougar sorted with a new wing and a front bumper from someone on here and in July, gave it a full service, coolant flush, had the air con topped up, fitted a BBK throttle body and had him back on the road.. Was so happy to have the cougar back, was getting sick of the loud & harsh mx5.

Little photo shoot with a friends Celica 190
...Then after a week of being back in the cougar, I packed up and went for a drive. Quite a long one, Actually was a family holiday that had been planned for a while, it just turned into a 4 week road trip having been on a little one last year just to Monaco... So thought I'd share a few pics of my cougar around.

Near Lausanne, by lake Geneva

2000ft up in Switzerland

Pulled by Swiss Police, which was scary as I'd overtaken them at the speed limit, started pulled away, then they started to speed up, caught up and pulled alongside with their lights on asking to follow them and i'd managed to get flashed by many hidden cameras in Switzerland before that moment; I didn't know what information they had access to... luckily they just checked documents.

In Italy, near Lake Garda - The only other cougar I saw in 4 weeks. He wasn't too happy when I came back past him in traffic and gave him a thumbs up.

Seemed to get quite a bit of attention, and 2nd glances in Italy and Croatia I noticed. Driving around in In the centre of Rome at was actually just as exciting as some of the Coastal roads on this trip.

Rubbish picture, but Silhouette of Mt. Vesuvius on the way back up from Sorrento was stunning.

Motorways in Croatia were very good, almost empty and everyone who was on them seemed to be very late :)

Dubrovnik

Somewhere beautiful in Montenegro

View from a restaurant in Bosnia & Herzegovina

First drive on an Autobahn, saw this challenger coming up at some serious speed in the mirror. I got out its way.

Meredes Benz museum in Stuttgart

The rough itinerary was:
Paris - Torgon, Switzerland - Zurich, Lake Garda, Pisa, Rome, Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento, Florence, Venice, through Slovenia and into Croatia, Split and Dubrovnik (where the car basically got stolen after parking the car for 15 minutes), a day in Montenegro - Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina - Zagreb, Croatia - Back accross Slovenia and Austria, into Munich - Germany, a night in Luxembourg City and back home... Totalled around 5000 miles iirc. Was a great trip, the car didnt go wrong fortunately, apart from the new throttle body hanging a few times and the wheelarches scrubbing the tyres. Would love to do it all again!

Happy new year :)

Some fantastic pictures here! Well done indeed, you clearly appreciate the car a lot - and I don't blame you. She has the mean appeal of a cloaked assassin!

Interesting that you only saw one other Cougar on the whole trip. Yours looks in happier condition. I've not seen a single other Cougar since I've had mine. Seen a lot of Megane Coupes and Peugeot RCX's though, but they just don't compare.

I am ridiculously envious. You, sir, are a hero in general but also a Cougar hero for giving that old girl the opportunity to do the job she was designed for. I hope you enjoyed yourselves.

Envious , some of us can only dream of doing a trip like that.
Maybe a tour of the UK one day (y)

What a fantastic road trip. Great pic's. Shame about the only other coug you saw in Italy. Why was he not happy with you coming back past him and giving him the thumbs up? or is that something rude in Italy? LOL!!!!

Some great pictures there it looks brill, i've not done a trip like that for a while now, not ever in the car though, last one was on a bike with some mates, must get out and about this year a bit more.
