Just got myself a new bonnet as the laquer has gone on the old one are they easy to fit ? Is it a case of just a few bolts ?? The problem i may have is the wiring for the washer jets again is this easy enough is it worth a crack at doing on my own ? Any advice is appreciated

I agree, it is near impossible for one person to do this job on there own. Grab a mate to help but it is very easy to do. Just 4 bolts and remember to disconnect the washer jet pipes and wiring.

Wires just unclip from the washer jets, the water pipes just pull off and it's 4 bolts. It's a 2 man job, make sure you leave the bonnet stay down lol.

When I swapped mine a couple of months ago, 3 of the 4 bolts sheared as soon as I touched them. It may be a good idea to have some new ones to hand just in case yours do the same.

Lol. Lost count how many times I've done this by myself. Prop open the bonnet as normal. Undo and remove the two drivers side bolts. The bonnet bottom corner will rest on the scuttle. Now remove two bolts from passenger side hinge while steadying the bonnet. Now go to front centre, hold bonnet with one hand while you drop the prop with the other. Lower bonnet to a point where you can hold both sides, pull the front edge into your stomach and lift. Easy peasy.

This. I would suggest a good dose of penetrating oil a day or two beforehand.
