Looking at purchasing a Ford IDS unit so I can bleed my ABS pump and sort some electrical gremlins, has anyone had any experience using a V86 Ford VCM II Diagnostic Tool with WIFI Wireless Card I cant seem to find a minimum spec for the PC I need to build to go with it and I really don't want to waste good spec equipment if I can get away with budget (y)

if its an option locked in the ecu then yes, it can test all electrical circuits so can narrow down which abs sensor isn't working as well as so much more, I probably wont use it for most of what it does but as it covers jag, mazda and landrovers aswell as all fords with obd upto 2014 and the fact that I was quoted £900 by ford to have the ABS pump sorted I thought well if I use it twice it will have paid for itself (y)

Is it a genuine IDS or a clone? If it's a clone the main functions work very well but be wary with the pass through mapping and ecu updates. It can be a little glitchy. If you need any of the current ecu versions let me know and I'll find my binary discs for you

Thanks Rob but it is genuine, the clones are a lot cheaper  ordered direct from Ford Motorcraft : thumbsup:

Hmmf, you'd think for that price they could have added Vauxhall in there too!
