Frosty Suspension

Slightly OT, but I wonder whether someone, somewhere is going to go to this level of preservation for the whole car.

The thing is I did not want to spend the time cleaning these up myself & finding a year or 2 down the line find out that they have failed on me

This way they did not cost me that much to get done & it's another thing I dont have to worry about

Yes, I get that and would mostly do the same for exactly the same reason.

What I meant was I wonder whether someone in a dry country is restoring/maintaining one to factory standard for historical or personal reasons. That's what I meant by saying I was going OT... (My fault)

No Problem mate

If I had somewhere to keep and store a bog standard V6 then I would do it. In 20 years from now this car will be a future classic and you will just not see any at all as they will all be long gone.

indeed - hopefully like the Sierra XR4i

I loved mine. A931 HFY, wonder if it's still alive, last time I saw it was the day after we got married, 3rd July 1999, we walked into Warrington town centre to bank our wedding gift money at the Halifax, and the car whizzed past us, about 8 months after i reluctantly sold it.

It's showing up as not on the DVLA or Insurance databases chap...?
I tried to copy and paste the info but it would not let me..??

Mine was A999 HAD in Nimbus? Grey, last seen smashed-up on the back of a breakdown truck shortly after I sold it.:(

Before I PM Bob for aa set of these, is it easy to bring them up to a mirror finish by polishing or would it be better to just get them chromed?

Why would you want to mirror them Paul, they'll be ditched in no time at all, but anyway, i don't see why, with the correct buffer/polish you shouldn't be able to poilish them up. Btw, what grade SS are these Bob?

You can Polish them up as it is used in Kitchen's as well

I will have the S/Steel Straps thursday 23rd in the evening so I will be abl eto send any off on the weekend
