Or read the sign posts to Bishops Tachbrook ;) I always plan ahead as sometimes Google maps can be wrong so I always check on street view etc. so I get the right route but also so I know were I am in realtion to everything else.

Mind you if you can lose a cortege of 20 cougars traveling at the speed of a normal funeral cortege then you are having abad day

Surprisingly easily done Matt, in a strange area, if the lights dwell longer than expected etc.

I know mate, you only have to mention BATH meet  or my worse senario has to be Lemans, on the way we had to stop at a Toll booth and as i was on my own I had to get out and pay as the booth is on the passenger side (re.euro driving side) so I goes to pay and notice that everyone else is disapering into the distance, bearing in mind i'm in convoy with them without a sat-nav or a map (well not one that was relevent to the route we were on) in a strange country etc. I had to put my foot down to catch them up or else i'd be lost....luckily I was following Rod in the Black S so he wasn't getting far in front....aafter all it was only a Zetec....

I'll stop the chat now :)

I thought it'd be nice if we all stay together as a statement to show the world what Chris meant to his friends in the club, making a statement in the place that he lived. Didn't want it to be in dribs and drabs if at all avoidable.

It's routine practice now for a Funeral cortege to run with sidelights in an attempt to show you are in that cortege. Hopefully other people/motorists and pedestrians realise this and "let you by"

Great thoughts, and intentions Al, but I fear in this cut and thrust "must get there now" world, we'll be lucky if that happens.

We just have to try to keep close and use our own judgement at the lights, even though we will be in convoy ie funeral cortege, it's still elligal to run a red. Just take care at the ambers.

During Dave's cortege we all ran with dipped beam, every other road user stopped & allowed us through even going around roundabouts, there was only one t**t who decided he had to pass half of us before forcing his way into the middle, but you'll always get at least one.

I think i remember that. With us all being in similar cars I'm sure it will be pretty obvious that we are in convoy. Near me the other week it was the turn of stretched limo drivers......now try passing 6 or 7 of them

Absolutely agree, must try and stay together if we possibly can - barring causing accidents of course!!!

Okay, so I have the day off work.

However......

If my son's operation were to get cancelled on Monday, it could take place on Thursday.

So, i am almost certain to be there - travelling with Rob, if the offer still stands mate?

If by chance things change on Monday, then I apologise in advance, but I am sure Chris would understand completely.

Trowel sounds good to me. Si yes the offer still stands. Mart do you fancy meeting at the services? I am limited on speed though guys as this engine is still being run in. 70 - 75 tops
