Hi Uncle Buck

Apparently there's no Haynes manual as such, so this may well be the best option. Plus, you can tap these kind folk for their Cougar specific knowledge :) Take a look at the link for signing up http://www.ukcougarforum.com/vb/showthread.php?6096-How-Do-I-Subscribe-to-the-Forum

I had trouble finding where to go after deciding to sign up, but then someone pointed me in the right direction. Click on Forum Actions, Edit Profile. The subscription thing is in there. Pay by Paypal, 18 earth pounds.

The Chilton manual is like the haynes one but the pictures are worse than haynes manuals, most of them aren't that clear, also they are not too accurate and miss important information out.

It's up to the individual as regards subscribing, what you have to look at is the fact that the knowledge of the members' on here is forever evolving, the knowledge that we have is a culmination of around 10 years experience of the many members that have enriched the club with their presence. The manual won't be able to tell you of common problems, the club has encountered many common faults over the years so will generally be able to point you in the right direction if you have any issues. Of course, we will try to help new members where possible but if people just come on when they have a problem and take all of the time, the subscribers, including myself, will soon grow tired of them, the club does have running costs and as subscribers, we help to sustain the club.

Welcome to the club, maybe just sit on the sidelines for a while and see what you think, try us with a few teasers regarding car issues if you have any, then decide for yourself.(y)(y)(y)

Edit....Just noticed that you subscribed!:LOL::LOL::LOL:
