Gave the old banger a seeing to ..

Looking good Phil, in the middle of doing mine at present, I know what you mean about them showing their age, we all see it when we clean them but the camera doesn't show the imperfections up. As hard as I try to keep mine right, I know what you mean because I see that mine is looking tired.

Blimey, if yours looks tired that means mine looks

Have you got anything in your hand while asking this question?....................

Phil, your Coug (well, not yours...more the missus) is still looking great and it's good that she still gets lots of attention (possibly more than the missus! lol).

Re: the comment "it's now raining" - best to check the forecast before putting loads of elbow grease in and then watching it piddle all over your hard work! lol

It was lovely and sunny when I started .... but after about 5 hours it came over all cloudy, guess its part of the joy of living in the Pennines.

I never get that, maybe you should look at it from another perspective Tim, I look at it that I can only do so much regarding the condition of my car, my responsibility is to wash it weekly throughout the year, sometimes more often depending on circumstances and get some wax on it to protect it and make it shiney. I am not bothered if I have just finished cleaning it and it p's down, the fact is that I have done my best, the weather can't be controlled by me, you have the inside track on that one!:LOL::LOL:

I am different obviously - I spent 5 hours yesterday cleaning my Cougar ( Wash, Machine Polish, Glaze, Sealant, Wax ) and I was hoping it WOULD RAIN after I finished it so that I could see all the rain droplets beading up on the top of the paintwork - I love it when that happens, shows my hard work was worth it as its all protected from that nasty rain :)

Great looking Cougar there mate, looks great in Blue and I dont blame the lady for wanting to keep it - I know I would never sell a car like that if I owned it !

I had given the faceless eurobx escort rsstgti thingy the same treatment the day before ... now both cars have rain marks on them, seems to be a lot of dust in the air as well, as usual its windy here so the dust is swirling around.

I get the same problem around here as my house backs onto a field. Not matter how much you wash and clean it, it always looks dirty the next day.

Its the same everywhere, lots of pollen and dust in the air causing cars to look dirty just hours after cleaning them.

I actually clean my car nearly everyday with Poorboys Spray & Wipe. It keeps the car looking good and takes just 20 minutes to clean the car from top to bottom. I always do this as soon as I get home from work ( I am a manic obsessive when it comes to keeping my cars and van clean, all my vehicles get the full works done on them at least once a week, thats my Mazda Van, My partners Fiesta and even my two Sinclair C5's and soon the Cougar will get the same treatment too !! )

Yeh, know what you mean Phil about the dust. I back onto farmers fields and with it being so dry of late my cars get covered in a fine layer of sand/dust and then if it rains on top, it makes both my cars looking bleeding awful!!
