Getting a new heated w/screen fitted

do you know if the wiring will already exist as i have the new heated screen turning up this week and wanted to know if the wire will be on the scree,in the car or will i have to go find one.

do you have the button on the dash?

If you do then there is a good chance you are good to go.

The wiring is there on all Cougars, you just need the dash button and the grey relay for the fusebox. If you've got both of these, your screen will fire straight up.

My screen only clears a small section right down the centre
Is this likely to be a fuse/relay issue or element (and new screen) issue?

Sounds like the actual heating elements are knackered. I'd see if you can try a mate's relays and/or fuses in yours just in case, and then perhaps become very clumsy when wielding heavy, blunt instruments in the vicinity of your windscreen...
