Going to look at a Cougar

Ah, cheers guys! Yeah, the calipers being painted was a surprise to me too. I wanted one with a boot spoiler as I didn't think the rear end was 'finished' if that makes sense without one.

Only learnt how to use the electric seat this evening. Was worried my seat would be forever stuck all the way back!

Got some smoked side repeaters that I will be removed from my old mondeo and shifted onto this.

No. The dials doing a full sweep at startup is the car's way of telling you that your battery doesn't have enough charge and needs attention. I believe it also does it at the first startup following a battery disconnection, however.

Just noticed this and since I picked my Cougar up last weekend it does this on every startup as far as I've noticed. I've only once had a slight battery problem though, when it stalled trying to pull off at a junction, and that was on a bitterly cold day just as I was setting out so I didn't think any more of it. Should I be concerned or wait and see if I have any further problems? The car is in daily use and seems to be problem free so far... *touch wood*

it may mean the battery is starting to show its age, but it's always worth cleaning the terminals and make sure there tight, simple things first
