Just renewed the Cougar insurance on line, Best offer was with Saga.
Wow that was a suprise never been offered with Saga before but I guess experience has some perks.(y)

Get prepared for realms of Saga stuff through your post box offering, house insurance, loans, travel insurance, funeral insurance  etc.

Wife for a laugh put a card in the post to Saga when i was 40 many years ago and suffered ever since.

Mabo, if you're in a position to get cheaper insurance just because you've reached some arbitrary age, I say take it and run away laughing.

As for the other type of Cougar? Y'all can go away and get your own. I'm not letting this one go.

I did grab it but wasn't laughing, spent a fortune on 2 front tyres last month so the cougar fund pot is well and truly mt. I'm waiting for a fuel discount voucher from Tesco so that I tank her up, luckily she's a second car so I can wait, but need to use her soon.

Well, some things don't get cheaper with age, I grant you. But those that do? That's what you should laugh and run away with. (y)

As for tyres, 17s generally are cheaper than 16s. Just sayin'...

In my experience Saga are much the same as most insurance companies; relatively cheap the first year and then not much different from the others in subsequent years.

Thanks for that Mako, I'm sure I could have got the tyres cheaper but it was a present to the car for sailing straight through the MOT, tyres are still all standard size and I wanted to put the same brand on each corner so they had to match up with the rears. If thing go to plan I'll be driving her down to Italy next year, so some corners I don't want to cut.
