Halfords have a deal on there we sight this now were if you buy there 5 piece lifting kit you get there 60 quid car ramps for free
will the cougar be ok going on this with the west wings body kit I ain't got mine lowered yet

No kit mine but it is lowered 30mm

I need extensions to get on my ramps, which I made from some decking planks!

Ok thanks for that
with me planning on stripping the underneath it's going to be up in the air for a long time and I'm always concerned when it comes to axle stands don't know why

You'll still need stands for one end then, use two sets if you're nervous ;)

On this subject it's always worth scouring ebay for this kind of stuff local to you it goes for peanuts because no one will post it

I usually do it the other way round - ramps at the front - easier to judge where the end is and not drive off the end!

Cool I could work it that way then no local ramps near buy on gumtree or ebay I have seen you can get ramp extensions for lowered cars so if they don't work will get them

I recently picked-up a pair of two tonne Paddy Hopkirk ramps still with labels attached for £12.00 at a local second-hand shop.

I went to halfords had a look and they looked bloody low to much money will be keeping my eyes open there is a nice set of adjustable ramps in Aberdeen bit of traveling but guy is not answering the phone

just make sure what you get are wide enough for the tyres - especially if your running 225 or bigger as most are too narrow

I bought these things about 8 years ago, they have a nice low angle on the ramp so getting a car up and down is a breeze, and they're wide enough to fit the D's 235 rear tyres without any problems.

Will be ordering service parts for the Cat this week and sending it up on these next weekend weather permitting.

Dad has a set of ramps he made about 30 years ago - they weigh an absolute tonne but they have lived outside for most of that 30 years and are still as strong now as they were then. Made from iron I think about 8mm thick, hence the weight

No, they weren't cheap, I think they ran me about £600, not sure what they would sell for now. In fact it looks like the manufacturer is no longer in business.

Good bit of kit though, you can chop and change out sections of it while the car is up on them to make working on the car easier.
