Hey guys not a problem exactly, but it was to see if anyone knew where to purchase a handbrake switch as mine is faulty and the handbrake light stays on constantly.
the part number for it is 93BB-15852-BA. help would be much appreciated thanks Ryan.;)

Paynes of Hinckley or Fordpartsuk.

Details of how to get your discount at Fordpartsuk are in the Member discounts thread.

Call them is best bet or even try your local ford dealer. Should be same as Mk2 Mondeo

Take out the coin holder, give the switch a squirt of plusgas or similar and work it against its spring with a long screwdriver.

i have took the centre console out and have tried the switch with wd40 and tried puting it bak together and working it but no joy. the handbrake light just dims but doesent go off.

Handbrake Light

:( i have now spent over two weeks trying to find why the handbrake light on my v6 stays on constantly. i have replaced the handbrake switch thats inside the centre console and still the light wont go off. also i have took the brake resevoir plug out and cleaned it with wd40, but still no joy. help would be much appreciated as the cars mot is next week and handbrake lights are now a fail as of the 1st of april this year. thanks(y)

question? is there any other warning lights on? and does your traction control and abs light work?
sometime people will remove bulbs to hide problems

Mine looks like it's heading this way. In the last few days, the handbrake light has started intermittently 'flashing' on when I drive along bumpy roads, as though the switch has only just about disengaged and bumps are enough to jiggle it back far enough towards the 'on' position to trigger the light.

Most annoying.

have you check your fluid level as it's happening on bumpy roads

Any update on this thread? Ive noticed my handbrake light seems to come on and off when it feels like it. Im going to look into it but thought if you have the answer it could save me time and £££'s. Thanks
