Heated Screen gubbins

Hi all,

New to Cougars as of saturday - love it to drive, hate it to fuel (V6)! Its partner in the garage is my 2.8i Capri drool, so there is a bit of a generation gap.

The thing its missing is the heated front screen - is the wiring already there for he switch/fuse etc? Its 1999 T plate X.

The wiring for the heated screen should be there.

You'll need the screen, switch bank, fuses and relays.

Ok thanks. I'll have a root for the switch etc, try the local scrappers then ask on here if there are any bits available.

I can see a £75 windscreen xs being paid in my near future!

Are the Relay spaces already on the fuse board?

They are, but there are two different fuse boxes with different layouts depending on the build year, yours being a T could be around the changeover. Early engine bay fuses boxes have one tapered side but later ones are rectangular. The fuses and relays are listed in the handbook.

IIRC it's one relay and two fuses, one for each side of the screen. They are the cube shaped ones, not the blade type.
