hello new owner second cougar

Hi all just got my second cougar ( first was a bit crap got p off when it overheated put it straight on eBay.) But that's the past needed another one as I enjoyed driving her. Have had two probes over the years and many other Ford's . Looking forward to getting tips if I need them. Will be keeping her standard.

Was the overheating one a v6 ?

They aren't known for overheating did you find the cause

It was the water pump, bit more common on mondeo I was told

Common weak spot on the V6 Cougar too, cruddy plastic impeller that wears out, or the equally cruddy metal cone that works loose and rips through the housing.
