Hello everyone,

I decided it was about time that I joined the club...having just gone out and bought my 2nd Cougar - this time, a Green, 2.5 V6 X-Pack with Sunroof and heated screen...

She needs a few jobs doing and no doubt I'll be asking for your help and advice - but hopefully I will be able to add something to the club/forum as well...

Hi Guy and welcome to ukcougar.com, your in the right place for all things cougar related, as well as some crazy banter. You will also be able to find all the fixes you need in our subscriber sections. Have a browse around the open forums and get a feel for the place. Remember! ukcougar.com is the only workshop manual for the big cat.

I'll try to get some piccy's posted ASAP...but I'll have to get someone else to do them for me - I hate computers and they seem to hate me!!!

'dyg3474' - She's a 2000 (W) Cougar-1 mate...(I personally like the look of the C1 a tad more than the C2 - hence going for this for this old girl I suppose...) and I had to go to Swindon for her, via ebay!

I've got an idea that she could have been a 'club car' before, or enthusiast owned at the very least...

She has been given the Cougar-badge treatment (Grill & Bootlid) and she's been fitted with stainless 'Cougar' sill kick-plates too...until recently, she has been very well looked after - club member 'Zetec' and I went round her last night and found that she has had new front shocks, disc's/pads, drop-links and lots of other little bits too, suggesting she was cared for - until very recently that is, 'cos she was filthy dirty inside and out when I got her and she now needs a few jobs doing to get her 'pingy' again...

Changing the subject - are there any club members in or around the Bedford area's?...it would be good to meet up for a chat etc...

Hi Guy. NicG. from Luton here. Not too close to Bedford I know but at least it's the right county! I've been a Cougar owner and club member for a couple of months now and the other clubmembers have all been welcoming and helpful (and I need all the help I can get). I've seen a number of Cats around the area and keep spotting more but I only know of one or possibly two other club members around here. Would be pleased to meet up some time though my diary is a bit flakey. Cheers. Nic.
