Just bought a 99 Cougar V6 and have joined to glean as much info about the car as possible for any of the niggly things I'm bound to come across.

The Cougar is somewhat of a departure for me, having owned Jap performance cars for the last 10 years including 200sx and my last car Evo VII. Unfortunately a lack of work forced my company to reduce our hours so the Evo had to go (exported to Finland) and was trying to manage without a car for a while until it became too much carrying shopping home!

So, I happened across the Cougar I bought today, quite inexpensive but with a years MOT and appears to be in half way decent condition.

Hi Stef and welcome to the forum - certainly the place to be for those wanting to find cures for all niggly things cougar - and also a great place for a bit of witty banter and socialising.

To make the most of the forum there is an annual subscription of £18pa which allows you access to the technical areas and I've yet to hear anyone say that they didn't get VFM and then some.

What colour did you get? - and FYI pictures are obligatory .

Only thing Ive noticed so far is the fag lighter socket has no power (easy fix) and the passenger seat heater appears to not work (drivers does)

Hi Stef, welcome to the forum. Fried eggs = side indicators, most on here have changed them to clear or dark ones, there available cheaply on ebay if you want .

Nice motor Stef, in a great colour as well. I've always preferred the Evo over the Scooby, but I'd rather not enrage the Stabster.

Ahh, thanks for the clarification! I think I'll leave them as they are. Modifying the car is not on my agenda, been there with a 380hp Evo!
