Hi all. 4x4 turbo cougar

enjoy guys.. tell you what. the first to get the engine in ill let you in on the wiring tips and tricks that you will need :) the speedo is one major headache.

the alternator is another stumbling block as well. the cougars one wont work. also I was looking at your spec. what turbo are you running and what injector?

395bhp is good on standard cams as well.. I struggled to get past 250 on standards

You can have my ready converted 4x4 car it will need your engine and bell housing but it is a goer !

Jeez Mark - not another iconic greenie going!!!!! First Dave - now you - and I'm probably going to have to put The Phoenix up for grabs to finance this enforced house move - it's not looking good

But back on track - good luck with the turboing guys - a turbo 4x4 should take the New Edge Cougar into New Edge territory :)

Sorry to hear that Mark but totally understandable. As you know, it's the 4x4 I've always wanted to get my hands on so I may well be interested. Sorry for spamming the 4x4 Turbo thread.

I will be running NO2 as a form of anti-lag. Im aiming for a flat a torqu curve as posible. To look after the gearbox a little. Im posted in germany at the min so next month im taking her to the ring. Im thinking some gaz golds might be in order next week.

You'll need some streagthening of the gear box it'll take 350 bhp max and then inplode.

any ideas on which turbo I should fit??

is it worth buying a knackered T3 and get turbo technics (for example) to refurb/repair/modify??

Gaz golds?? Are they mk2 mondeo ones??

i'm after somewhere in between 350/400, with minimal lag
