Hi All,

Had my 2000 X reg Silver 2.5 Cougar for a couple of weeks and love it. A history of my recent cars will explain why I went for a cougar.

H reg, BMW 525 auto
S reg, Alfa Romeo 156 2.5 V6
P reg, BMW 520 2.0
53 reg, BMW 520 2.2
06 reg, Saab 93 Vector sport diesel (still own)
04 reg, Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCi (still own)

So after owning 4 cars with 6 cylinder engines I went for economy with the Saab which my wife now has, she had the Mondeo but we swapped and as much as the mondy is fairly quick its a bit boring so I started to look around on Autotrader & Ebay motors and went to look at a V reg BMW 528 which was nice but I thought the 2.8 was a bit sluggish, then had a look a 728 but then had a brainwave and found this nice Cougar in a local garage. On X reg its only just done 60K with ten ford main dealer stamps in the service book, its in really good condition, im sure the front and rear bumpers have been resprayed and there is a small amount of rust appearing on the rear wings where they meet the bumper but other than that its ok.
Hope to be posting a bit quite soon.

I am from Teesside, any one else from up this way.
Cheers
Paul

Hi and welcome to all thing Cougar Paul, nice choice of motor, best engine and best colour (y)

There is a fabulous amount of information, how to`s etc in the subscriber section, well worth the money

These will save you money initially and then steadily drain your wallet when you see the mods that have been carried out

Welcome to the forum matey! The rarity is exactly why I went for the big cat, as an owner of around 8 months and I'm truely hooked :) and I can't seem to stop the crave to mod to the point where I've got a number of parts waiting to be fitted lol

Welcome to the forum Paul, great choice of car, as Dave (localloon) will tell you V6 Frostys are the quickest to 60. :D
