Has anyone ever tried to fit these seats into their cat? They're a ton more sporty looking and are the same dimensions, 20" wide by 35" tall. I have a chance to pick up a pristine set for $100 and wondered if you all had any thoughts.

It's Korean made so I guessed they would have it elsewhere. I'm sure I could get the seats to fit but I'm unsure about the brackets

The Hyundai Tiburon was simply called the 'Hyundai Coupé SIII' over here, plenty of them about. If you have success with fitting them, let us know, that could be a bit of breakthrough discovery!

Adapting the subframes shouldn't be a major difficulty, the only problem I forsee is making the Ford ECU 'talk' to the airbags in the Hyundai seats. (I'm assuming here that, being from a fairly modern car, the Hyundai seats will have side airbags like the Cougar does.)

We do get it here, its the Yankee name for the Hyundai coupe

And the Tuscani :p

I'll try them out with my stock brackets and go from there. I was just curious if it had been done before. They're 10x more comfy than the stock seats

The GT ones are a little different because they have larger sidewalls so they're more like aftermarket racing seats. I'll be sure to report back with what happens. It will be about a week or so until I pick them up because the current owner has to make custom brackets for his new seats

Also, I'm not too concerned with making the ECU talk to the seat airbags so that's the last thing on my list to adapt
