Imrc transistor

Hi all could anyone help me with the code number for the imrc transistor maplins dont keep
the 2n6045 anymore is that the correct number and is there a better replacement part

I think the one of choice now is the BDW93C, I'm sure someone will confirm. Can be got on ebay for a few quid

hi thanks for the offer ive ordered a couple of ebay hope they will make a difference
i dont get a kick when the secondries open but it still pulls well them when it get a little hotter sfter s bit of driving it gives up altogether do you think its worth putting some wd40 or similar down the cable after ive changed the tranistor

It stops kicking in after a while because the heat affects it

After you've put the new transistor in move the box from on top of the engine to underneath the battery tray. You'll need to extend the loom a little but it's well worth doing.
