is it a Jag??

Man, I get this all the time. I've mentioned before that the security guards at work do it when they do the bomb checks, ("What should I record this as...?" "Just register it as a Ford Mondeo"), but on a daily basis I see people in my rear-view mirror craning over their dashboard to try and read the text on the badge.

It looks as though there is a movement here to revert to Ford badges - I respect that but won't be doing the same because I was brought up American and so aspire to Mercury - but I still think that people are going to have the same conversations, "Huh. So when did Ford make a big coupe? Is that a Probe?"

The other week driving through sainsburys car park, a group of kids walk by and I heard "woar... Nice Porsche..."
I was slightly miffed by this cos I don't like Porsches (aside from the old 928s)

A young lad once pointed at my Ebony, parked up at my local shops, and exclaimed "Look Dad, a Ferrari!". Said Dad shot me an almost accusatory glance for misleading his boy child, before shaking his head disappointedly and answering "No Son, it's not a Ferrari, it's just a... a... well it's not a Ferrari."
