Is the Ford Jack the worst jack ever?

I 'repaired' the exhaust on our old 306 with a Monster can a jubilee clip on the M5 one night. That was interesting.......

I was wearing full orange high viz waterproofs though

We looked after some weird Japanese import people carrier, can't remember what it was, but the whole mid-rear exhaust section was constructed of wire bound split bean cans - the cost to replace the exhaust exceeded any sort of viable repair!

I do actually have a jack that you can lift with a bar pushing it up. Problem is that I couldn't find anywhere to position it and lift it, then the pin that pushes the jack up snapped (Polish quality for you).
