It snow joke

Well this is the scene today in my home town, bearing in mind my road is off the main drag so doesn't get gritted at all. (now you see why I haven't washed the car)

Well we've had a good snow storm over here last night a good 12". The John Deere made it to the garage ok(y). Pitty the customers didn't 3 jobs cancelled:(. But hey ho off to Rugby soon.:beer::beer::)

Well - good luck Mark - keep me updated mate. I really am going to have to seriously weigh up the hazzards involved against the limited support that I can offer - not having the John Deere mod 'n all :(

Well it took 45 minutes to get home, thanks in part to the roads being blocked by non movers in RWD cars mostly :cautious: once you got some traction it was alright, but woe betide you if you have to stop o_O had to switch the traction control off at one point, just would not move. Still got me home and luckily i'm not back later as we are dead (not that its been busy anyway) have to see what tomorrow brings to see if i'm in tomorrow at work ??
This is how it looks now at 4:20pm

This was at 9 a.m. this morningsnowed for about another hour or so, but we were doing the big Christmas shop in Sainsbury's, so missed it. The drive there, however was a lot of fun, with plenty of handbrake opportunities. ;)

The snow on my bootlid was nearly up to the spoiler wing so I guess we had around 4 - 5" of snow.

I got stuck in milton keynes yesterday due to incompetant drivers took over 3 hours to do less than 4 miles then turned round and went back to where I began!, left again the second time at 10pm and got home at 1.40AM!!!

That is bad jason, there are still a couple of abandoned cars on the roads near here (mostly BMW's) no new snow just frozen even more, went down to -12 degree's. Couple of moments on the way here when idiots try to pass in the lane no ones used forcing you into a rut, nearly sideswiped this one car (BMW again) swear filter!

at its deepest, my back garden was 31 inches deep in snow.

Just been down to London to see friends in Guildford. Had 6 inches of snow fall in one hour while we were down there!

Madness.

Car proved itself again tonight, been siting on the car park at work from 11am to about 7:30pm and after I cleared the ice off it started first time and got me home (some nice drifting on islands) got into 4th gear and 35mph at one point ;)
(this is how it looked earlyer)

Blimey, I'n in 5th by 30MPH - the lazy V6 driving style

You think this would be any good in the snow? Was parked up outside work on Christmas Day (i thought i'd won the lottery) one of the regulars cars. Wouldn't mind taking it for a spin, although I don't fancy the cost of replacing the tyres. ;)

AARGH!! My eyes!!

Each to their own and all that but the Hummer is a minger of a motor - a fine example of what the yanks call 'Automotive Technology'. Huge thirsty engine, weighs as much as the moon, MPG in single figures. The answer to a question nobody ever asked (well, nobody outside of the states anyway) o_O
