Well my MoT is due the beginning of April so I thought I would chuck it in now to see whats has to be done.
That was done earlier today.
Problems were a few bulbs and some welding under drivers area, will cost £100 all in.
So hopefully a new ticket tomorrow :D(y)

Now I did have some advisories, namely drop links and bushes on suspension arms.
I've asked the guy to price up the work for the droplinks and might get them done out of the way.
He said he would look to see if he can get the bushes for the wishbones? I haven't seen anyone on here mention doing this, so I'm thinking this is a no go for some reason....anyone tell me different.

Thats what I thought Scunny
Looks like I'll have to save up some pennies, got to be done at some stage, sooner the better.
I actually have one I bought off fleabay second hand about 10 months ago, could only get the one side though. I suppose I would be better off with new though.

cheers Pete
which are best to get, and do you know anything about those wishbone bushes?

I got mine from local motor factors and they seem to be fine. I did have to change one of the rears again but that was down to a duff part that failed with in a few weeks of fitting.
The wishbones will need changing I am afraid. Nothing you can do about that. You will need a full set of bolts as well when you do them and you can only get them from Ford.
Most people in the club have got theres from Paynes ( Ford ) as they do a slight discount for us I think.
I done mine as soon as I bought the car 2 years ago. It was one of the first things I did to the car.
Let me know if you need a hand.

Peter, are you saying you can change the wishbones as well? seemed I've missed a trick lol
Well thats 300 squid and nothing urgent, so if you can do them i'll get them sorted over the next couple of months and we'll pick a nice sunny day to do them, if thats ok with you.

Well we could do them but I did not bother with mine. I got a garage to do them ( someone I knew ) who did them both for £60 and it took him under an hour to do the whole job.
It is not a job I would like to do TBH.
I can do all the drop links for you though as they are easy enough.

Good advice once again from the forum, my £18 is well spent on here.
Cheers guys.
And cheers Pete, think I'm going to take you up on them droplinks, will get back to you to arrange a date suitable to both of us.

Forum is runing a bit slow for me tonight?

Anytime you are available Maurice. I am here everyday after 3.30pm and all weekend. Just give me a shout mate.

Seems to be speeding up, perhaps Procomm has tuned it up a bit lol

Ok then, I'll sort out the droplinks and get back to you, wishys will have to wait because I have the Mondy going in for MoT next week and that one will cost methinks. The joys of having two cars with MoT's due the same week.
