Just finished the dash :D

The C2 already has chrome rings around its dials mate? Its OEM, like wise the silver trim round the front speakers.
I'm going to change my dash for next year, it needs a re-spray and a re-invent (might get a new head-unit to) got some ideas, just need to figure out how some parts come apart, will have to ask the master de-constructer, Paul (shagmonkey)

c2 speedo rings are silver not chrome thats why i said its hard to justify

Yeah sorry I knew what you ment about an hour after i'd typed that ;) I personaly think theC2 would look good with RED illumination like the new Ford cars (and Audi)...Alan....:)

I sgree Matt, infact, if i had the time i would consider changing mine from blue to red, but i really don't look forward to it.AGAIN!......:)

Ah Paul just the man, is there a how-to were you describe how to take the center console apart and the door trims?

good idea about the instrument lights, been thinking about changing mine for ages, just not sure how you do it (I think there is a how to from Alan) not sure if changing the dials illumination would be OK though? Just the ambient lighting and the HVAC LCD display

Centre console apart?? Do you mean the handbrake console mate, or do you just mean removing the HVAC and all the switches etc from teh centre console?

As for the door cards. Again, do you mean how to remove the inserts (leather or fabric) or how to remove the handle surround? They all come apart by breaking the plastic welds from behind.
Get an old soldering iron and just melt the welds apart. Smelly but effective. Re-attaching the door handle surrounds is tricky as there isn't much plastic around and just using a hot glue gun, wont get a nice tight finish. I screwed mine back on with some very tiny screws and then went nuts with the glue gun. lol

I will be re-trimming another Cougar members car for him at the start of next year and will write and photo a concise how to if you can wait that long?

*Well I thought that might be the idea* so thanks for that Mate. Humm?? What to do? :( not 100% sure I want to start dismantling the dash, however have an idea that "might" work....or might not

I think that interior looks fantastic, i was thinking of respraying my interior to look more modern, where the hell would i find those chrome rings like in the c2 interior for the speakers and air vents that just looks brilliant!

the ones around the speakers are OEM (just the outside ring painted silver)mate you wouldn't be able to get them, but the rings around the vents come up for sale on eBay every now and again (they are not oem)

I'm looking at doing something different with my dash/console, want to introduce a bit of colour into the mix, but not go over the top and chavy :) more Aston Martin / Alfa Romeo / Audi style, hence the change of illumination colour to red
