LHD center Console

I would imagine it's a straight swap. Surely the handbrake sits centrally, with the recess underneath 'opening' to the right on a RHD car and the to the left on a LHD car? It may feel a little strange the first few times you use the handbrake, but one would think you'll get used to it before very long.

The front where it meets the dash will be different as locators are in different places I'm sure. Also ashtray and fag lighter will be wrong way round and you'd have the cup holder but right next to you instead of the passenger seat. Why would you want a LHD console? It'll look plain wrong lol

Because my carbon fibre pieces were made in america and modelled from LHD, cheaper than trying to get the carbon parts redone. Not to bothered about the front part as that has to be moddified anyway to accept some bling (y)

Just checked mine.
The handbrake lever is off centre/much closer to the driver's seat. You'd need a LHD one, probably easier to get one from Europe rather than the USA.
The front ash tray section is also contoured towards the driver so will need some modification.

If I were you I'd try just the LHD arm rest as the hinge mountings and clip are non-asymmetric, therefore a straight swap.
It would look less odd than a console that doesn't match the HVAC/stereo dash section.

the front will be chopped off anway Manos to enable me to do my little mod, still on paper at the moment, just working out what parts I need and how much it will cost, might even change the hvac dials if I can work out the wiring to connect it to my little mod (y)

I think Paul means in terms of relocating the controls if I remember the chat we had sat in his Mondy.

IIRC your little mod is the perfect height to fit in place of the ash tray. You just need to relocate the ciggy lighter.
There, saved yourself the job of extending the HVAC loom and vacuum tubes.

Ha ha ha wrong little mod manos, that little mod would be going up where the hvac controls are, vents would stay and no need to extend wires as there is plenty loose to drop the controls. just thinking a double din unit isnt big enough :geek:

IIRC the last time I removed the centre dash section on mine, the loom and vacuum pipes for the HVAC controls had very little slack so the whole lot had to be disconnected just to move the dash part 2 or 3 inches away from the dash. Remember there are vacuum lines going straight into the controls and I think they had the least slack.

Just trying to point out that relocating them could involve more work than anticipated.
