In a dream world
Just a quick question guys i know we have MIJ on side for cheaper exhausts but its a bloody long way from where i live so i was wondering if any one has any experience good, bad or otherwise of longlife stainless systems as the're not to far, which is a bonus.

--> http://www.longlife.co.uk/

Emailed them today for a price with and without sports cat, so we'll see what transpires, but did the google thing and overall it seems they are rated quite well on other forums, but has anyone here got any tales to tell.

Thanks (y)

I have a Cat back one with quad tail pipes from them. It has been on the car for 4 years now without any issues at all. I can not fault it in any way.

I know what you mean about distance to MIJ. I drove (twice may I add) all the way from Exeter to Walsall to have mine fitted, and then had to go back to have the mid pipe removed because it was scraping on my drive and speed bumps. There's a good many people who have opted for alternative stainless steel systems from other manufacturers without any issue.

Don't take there first price, they will move as much as 10% on price easy enough. I managed to get one of my tail pipes for free ( AMG Mercedes pipe ) that was £100 a side.

I'll bear that in mind Peter, cheers, still nowt from them this evening :sleep:

At this rate i might well be driving to Brum in the not too distant future :rolleyes:

I drove up to my local one and thrashed out a deal there and then with the manager of the branch. They allow 10% discount for most local car clubs so getting some money knocked off it will be easy enough. Also drop in the fact you can get it cheaper elsewhere seems to always work well with them as well.

Thanks mate, if i don't hear from them in the next few days, next weekend i'll have a bimble up their place in Wallington, with trusty flexible friend in pocket and see what they'll offer me.

Perhaps i've confused them when i asked for a quote for dual exit single back box :LOL:

Looks good Trevor, is that a longlife stainless then?

And still no reply to my email from last week they really are hopeless at returning emails, its a wonder they ever sell anything :eek:

Not to sure on that one....bought for £60 on fleabay....says POWERFLOW on the rear tins. TS

You are better off just going there TBH. Easier to thrash out a deal that way as well.

Yeah i think your probably right Peter, trouble with me though is i think to myself if they can't be a**d to reply to my email within the time they say they will, what are they going to be like if i get a problem with the system, so i'm a bit doubtfull i want one on these right at this moment tbh

Man that was a bit of a bargain, I've read somewhere Longlife use Powerflow boxes, could be wrong though, i'm sure someone will let us know if this is correct or not.
