Just parted with my 24v probe yesterday:(:(:( thought i could just let it go and use my 4 by 4 but missing it already. There is nothing like the sound of a v6 engine Sold it as it was begining to show its age and was not getting used in the winter. it was a 1994 and you could still eat your dinner of the engine bay but rust was starting to show.

So looking for something newer, i like a crusing car and going to the car shows been looking on line and the prices seem to vary a lot, how much should i be willing to pay for one and does any one know of any good ones for sale i am in fife willing to travel if the right one comes up

No problem Si, Don't do it again! ;)

Hi andymartin, welcome to ukcougar.com, your in the right place for all things cougar related, as well as some crazy banter. You will also be able to find all the fixes you need in our subscriber sections. Have a browse around the open forums and get a feel for the place. Remember! ukcougar.com is the only workshop manual for the big cat. You should find some good examples for around the £1,000 or less mark. As previously stated in an illegal post, there are a couple of good examples in our For Sale section.

very nice not got that much money right now i strugled to get £600 for my v6 and i think that would just be an insult when so much work has been done. i think i might weight till i can sell my shares from work in febuary and then i can afford one like this
is there any thing i should be watching out for common issues etc

Welcome Andy.....they do pop up on here from time to time plus there's always plenty to choose from out there. Pick a good one and you'll never look back. I miss the V6 myself sometimes but the 'extras' on my Zetec cat more than make up for it :)

been looking on ebay and autotrader there is certinly some very nice ones out there going to keep my eyes open for one and will have one by march im sure

Hi Andy and welcome to the home of the Cougar. If you keep your eyes open you will find the right car at the right price, there are quite a few out there for sale at the moment. Where about in Fife are you based? I am in Dunfermline and also sold a Probe before I got the big cat.

Yep, I have to say that they are stupidly cheap at the moment. I picked mine up the other day for £650. And there was a one going for £495 not far from me, missed out on it as it was instantly snapped up.

i am in ballingary not 15 minutes away from dunfermline, i see a nice one has just went on edinburgh gumtree wife would kill me though as kids would get no xmas going to have to wait.

thanks for the welcome folks
