I wanted to lower my Cougar, Coilovers are around a grand, so not worth it imo since the car itself only cost me 1500.
I'm more than happy to use lowering springs usually, have done on previous cars, However, With the cougars wishbone costs etc..
I found on my Mk6 Escort the lowering springs wore the bushes out on the wishbones quicker, Will this be an issue with the Cougar?
Standard shocks are capable im guessing? Never had any issues with lowering springs on standard shocks before.
Also, i have a C2, and im sure i remember somebody saying/reading somewhere the springs wont fit C2 Struts as they're different topmounts and you need C1 Topmounts also, Is this true? As thats additional cost
Anyone used the 35mm lowering springs? Whats the ride quality change like? And also does anyone have a picture of what -35mm lowered looks like?
Cheers, Dan
