Halfords are doing 4 Ltr's of Magnatec (various grades) for £17.50 at moment whilsts stocks last

I've got to service the X-Type this weekend if it's dry. Had the OE service kit in the house for a month now, but still need the Magnatec. Hopefully Halfwits up here will still have some cheap 5W-30 The only downside of these V6s is that you always need 2 bottles. Both my 3.0s burn around 2 litres every 10,000 miles too so they drink the left overs between services so each service is another 2 bottles. Doh!

Good to see you use magnatec mate, i've always used it, although I don't think the garage does for obvious reasons they use their own preference (still 5w/30 though)

Yeah I saw this today on TV, cracking deal for this stuff. I have stocked up on it last time when it was £18.

Thanks for this. I usually get mine from Costco, but the problem is that they don't always have the correct grade in stock. It's usually 10W/40, I guess because it's more common.

I don't need it at the moment, but I think I might just stock up anyway!
