Hey who cares about suspension and build quality, I got to drive it tonight and in a straight line it was stupidly crazy fast. I think it does 0-60 in about 4 seconds, well it felt like it anyhow. Fastest car I have even driven on a road and it was great.

The Americans are quite mad aren't they, there was a yellow Corvette at the pub tonight

Yeah they are indeed. The local car club I go to are all yank left hookers, and there are some really nice cars that turn up every now and then. It is turning into a good little local meet every Tuesday evening.

We get one turn up at the pub every third Wednesday (not tonight) mostly pick-up's and a couple of saloon's and a coupe now and again.

Sounds good, I do like my local meet up. It is good to see something a bit different and we do get alot of quite unique cars at our club.

They like their Dodge Rams round here  a couple of them turn up. Guy who lives down my road comes along in his big Cadilac (his wife drives a Mustang from the 90's)
Guy who drinks in the pub owns this big brute

Ah I see, big hill billy cars then lol, all good though as long as your pockets are very deep for the fuel they drink.

Very nice Peter, I love Yank tanks, even if they can't go around corners very well. That Viper is lovely, however, I'm more a Mustang man myself, would love to own one one day.....when I'm an even older "Old Fart" lol!!!

Yes I do agree, they are very nice to look at and in a straight line they are fine lol.
That Viper was and is in a different class to anything I have ever driven. It is pretty much nearly a supercar with 4 secs 0-60 and 190 mph top end. But they are not cheap to buy. The guy said he paid £32000 for it 3 years ago, but what can you buy for that money that is that fast from standard, nothing really. So for the money you are getting something you just do not see everyday on our roads.

Thank god Tim stepped in at post 13, I thought ginja was stalking a potential mating partner.

Yank cars have never really been my cup of tea, prefer the jap stuff in general, would much rather have a mildly fast car that's tuned to surprise people rather than an 'in your face yank car'. The viper is one of the better looking cars though.

Saw a Trans-Am (I think) in Waterlooville the other day. A bit ostentatious but God, it made a nice noise.

My mates car is a 1987 GTA Trans-am 5.7 litre V8 and that makes a hell of alot of noise. It is the same car as Knight Rider ( KITT ). But it is showing its age now and needs some TLC on the bodywork but engine side of things it is brutal.
