Metal thing's in boot ??

In the boot on the inside of the slam panel there are 2 metal plates with hole's in ,what are they for ?

Ripping open bags of cat litter and allowing it to spill in the boot as far as I can see.

Easy enough to take out if you don't use or want them in there. Just pull the black plastic panel off and take out the bolts that hold them in there.

Yeah they are for attaching a cargo net too (ford optional extra)

No they're luggage hooks Matt. The 'Genuine Ford' cargo net's hooks screw onto the inner-most rear light studs (after you've made a couple of small holes in the carpet for them). Check the pic in my garage.

Correct, I use bungees on mine, I use them on the cargo hooks as well

.......and if you have a net but cant find the OEM hooks a couple of extra rear light securing plastic nuts screwed on in the manner described by Manos will do the job.
