mot fail big styie

ST200 subframe = Cougar/Mondeo Mk1/2 subframe
ST220 subframe = Mondeo Mk3 subframe - THIS WON'T FIT!!!

So why denote the part by the ST model when it's essentially a shared part with lesser models?

I thought the op had made a breakthrough after all the recent issues with subframes and wasn't sure if the ST220 one may indeed fit a Cougar as it may have been different. Like the wishbones on an ST200 bring unique to that model but shared with the Cougar? Think we may need clarification here as I need to find one for the 4 pot.

Me and tony tried loads of motor factors and they all listed one rear subframe for mondeos and cougars sadly their listing was for a mk3 mondeo one as its cheaper to buy a new subby than replace the bushes which are a weak point on the mk3 which is why they're so cheap as hundreds are failing.

The only place that could supply a new rear subby for our cars that would fit is frauds (oh you've got a cougar hmmm bend over and part your cheeks cos your about to get royally frauded ) which will cost you around 500 quid

sorry checked receipt and it was off a st200 the antiroll bar is idffrent and drop links now its on car feels a lot stiffer on back end in bends less body roll

Anti roll bar is the same diameter as the Cougar, just orientation of the roll bar ends and drop links.
It probably feels stiffer because your rear suspension is now attached to steel rather than rust ;-)
