10.00am tomorrow. :)
Yes it's MOT number 7 for me. I've done well since i've had this cougar 6 MOT's and 6 clear pass's. However, i won't be surprised at a couple of minor fails tomorrow. While i was painting my calipers a couple of weeks ago i noticed a trackrod end has a split gaitor although the joint has only done about 2,000 miles. Very slight occasional crack from the rear droplinks. Also a very slight seepage from the o/s rear caliper. Then there's the 3rd brakelight. I'm not at all concerned though as i have all the relevent parts to hand if needed. Sad to say, i've neglected my cat a little over the last few months so this could be the kickstart i need.

Thanks all, PASS #7 is in the bag.

Advisories: Both front brake pipes slightly corroded.
Front to rear brake pipe slightly corroded (just before the tank)
Easy enough to sort job.

Tester questioned the legality of my mirror indicators as they are more red than orange, and the flashing brake light under the boot lid. Very reasonable guy said i can disconnect them if i need to (y). 3rd brakelight didn't even get a mention.
He also had me going for a second when he had completed the test by saying "I've got to fail your engine compartment, it's so bright under there i couldn't see a bloody thing" .
Rear subframe is good.

Good news, hopefully this will be your kickstart - although I seriously doubt you've been neglecting her, but perhaps by your standards...

Nice one Al, now for the boat conversion? ;)

You're not wrong there John, it's absolutely peeing down here.

Thanks Steve. Yes it's one of them things. You do a bit of maintainence etc and see something else that needs sorting ie the trackrod end gaitor when i did the calipers. I suppose with the wheel being on, the tester couldn't see the split.o_O

Nice one Al,with the weather we have had this year theres a few cats been neglected, im off to bolton mafia on weds to have a few jobs done that normally i would do myself

Thanks again chaps. Although i'm obviously happy that my car passed again, i am a little miffed that they didn't pick up on the things I had already decided needed sorting ie: The trackrod end gaitor split, probably because the joint is fairly new and shows no sign of wear but i thought at least a mention of the gaitor would have been in order.
The leaky rear caliper, although in fairness it's very slight and everything was absolutely awash under there.
Painted 3rd Brakelight didn't even get a mention.
