Hello Everyone. I just joined the UK forum here; so that means its time to share some Pics.

I've had my car for just over 3 years now and still love to drive it.

To my knowledge this is the only supercharged Zetec Cougar.

Here it is guys; Pics should pretty well speak for themselves.

I wish I had some better quality Pictures; But since putting the supercharger on I havent had the Roush Front valences on (long story; one needs a re-spray) and it kinda deterred my need to photograph.

I have a pretty good list of parts to go in over this winter too.

Here is a picture from last year; I had different rims on but this is a much better quality pic.

Hello and welcome aboard. Nice looking Coug you have there and RED too!! One of the colours you can't get here in the UK. So, how much extra power are you getting with the supercharger?? what BHP are you running?? cheers, Tim

It hasn't been dynoed; but I'm running the eaton m62 at around 10K rpm which flows roughly 320cfm @ 10psi which should net around 220 fwhp; with around a 20% loss calculation that would give me around 176.6 to the wheels; which is around what it feels like.

I love the lazer red; PITA to get painted though. The colour is discontinued, and a 3 stage metallic. Plus there were a couple different shades of it.

Thanks;

I have been a long time member on NECO, and a few of you guys pop in there regularly.
I most likely will just pop in here now and then to see whats going on.

Hi matey,

I have been following your thread on the NECO reading up on the fun you had with fueling etc. Have you got all the bugs sorted?? :D

Its running very well now. The motor has a lot of mileage on it though its starting to show signs of its age. More blowby then I would like to see and some valve noise; not supprising with 339,000KM on it. I picked up a low mileage focus zetec to drop in this winter for $350. Its also getting a Torsen LSD, and clutch.

But Ive driven roughly 10,000km with the blower on with no major issues; she gets me to work every day.

The fuel pump I have now will support more then the power I can make :).

Nice project there mate what management system are you using?. Also what work did you do to the engine Pistons rods ect.?

The motor is stock other then boltons. The internals of the zetec are said to be reliable to around the 250whp mark which I am well below still. I haven't seen a lot yet but it looks like there are some differences between the Euro motors and the American ones. All cougars over here had the newer 98+ motor with VCT.

I used a SCT Xcal2 for tuning with remote tuning by a well known focus tuner for fuel management. It's using 42Lb/hr injectors and I used a 3" MAF tube to increase the range of the stock mass-airflow sensor. Fuel pressure was dropping from 40psi to around 25 at high rpm, so I put a Ford GT fuel pump in; witch actually went quite smoothly. It maintains 50psi fuel pressure now.

I'm very happy with the way the engine bay looks; there could be some cleanup of hoses and wires still; but the supercharger sure sits in there nicely.

Nice car mate, welcome to UKCOUGAR, didn't the custom cougar/creative coimpacts etc bloke named james come from Canada?

ya I think that guy was based in the states; the time that they were actually selling lots of stuff was before I got my cougar. Around the Time I got modding it they got a bad reputation for not sending out parts and having poor customer service.

They went from custom cougar, to creative compacts, to Krazy customs IIRC.
