2.5 V6 Manual - because 3 pedals are better than 2!
From memory of various spec lists, I believe it to be an XPack (Leather heated seats, CD Changer)
Bought as Nearly Bloody Broken, turned into Now Bloody Broken within 6 feet of pulling out of the seller's drive. Not annoyed, knew it was likely and paid the extra £2.79 for breakdown as he told me it was borderline on the CV. Plus it saved me the cost of fuel home for 2 cars.
Got it home to Keighley, and became Naan, Bhaji, Balti. Also became more broken.
Parts list was: 1x OS CV joint. Bought, started fitting and buggered the hub carrier bolt. It's old, it's rusty, it was probably due to break soon anyway.
Parts list is:
2x steering knuckles - not found a supply yet, so links welcome - unless anybody knows if the knuckles from an ABS 2 litre are the same as the knuckles on an ABS v6? I know Ford don't like simple part reuse (currently have 6 scattered around my house) and expect there's some subtle difference in the two knuckles.
2x wishbones
2x struts
2x springs
2x front droplinks
2x turret mounts
2x TREs
1x NS driveshaft to go with the already bought 1x OS driveshaft
Set of front poly's (unless anybody has had any experience of them having a negative effect on the Cougar?)
Otherwise seems spot on.
