New Cougar owner saying hi and asking questions...how rude!!

Well after 2 visits back to the dealer it seems to be sorted.
1st visit they replaced a breather hose, made no difference to the juddery driving, but at least my mpg went up to 23.7 lol
Anyway they had the cat back in today and did something to the EGR system (the chap wasn't exactly sure what their service centre had done), said it was the exhaust gas recirculation system, so at a guess I'm going to say the Lambda sensor. On the drive back from the garage tonight the cat was showing 26.5mpg...big improvement. Will have to test it on a longer drive tomorrow to test the judder with a warm engine.

Thats good new Ad. When you get a chance, you want to remove the EGR as you don't need it. Mine is completely blanked off (was done before I bought it)

Might be a silly question (to be Frank) but have you reset the average mpg to obtain a true reading (or do the Zetecs not have such luxuries) :)
